This event was organized by Kebun Baru Community Sports Club (KBCSC) and TFAS was invited to participate.
The event is to create an opportunity for the community to bond and also to spreading important messages to the community.
Below are some of the messages and bonding activities …
1. Dengue Prevention (by National Environment Agency)
2. Sports (Table Football, Taekwondo, Table Tennis)
3. Interactive Diet and Activity Tracker to promote exercise and healthy eating (by Heath Promotion Board)
4. Volunteering (PA Youth Movement)
5. Community Emergency Preparedness Programme (By Singapore Civil Defence Force)
The Guest of Honour was Mr. LEE Hsien Loong (Prime Minister, SG) and he tried his hand and fingers in both shooting and goalkeeping. We also arranged a customized gift for him.
The event was attend by hundred of resident living around the area and there was many people queuing up to try out the different games booth.
Table football’s booth seems to be one of the most popular as the queue refuse to subside, even when the rain came pouring down. The queue consists of people from all ages … and Everyone was curious and keen to try out the hand (and fingers) to flick the little plastic figures.
The game booth consists of a goal, cover with a board with only a “Mouse Hole” as the target. The objective was to try to flick a figure to kick the ball into the “Mouse Hole”. each person had 5 tries and those which manages to get at least 3 goals got a prize (bags sponsored by Orchid Country Club).
We hope this event will raise awareness of Table Football and TFAS in the area. When we eventually promote and conduct training course, there would already be an interest and a playing group could be formed.
TFAS members Kok Wee, John, Anas, Michael, Giovanni was present to help out and were totally exhausted at the end of the event (~5 hours) !!

Superb job. You deserve a lot of respect from the whole subbuteo community!
